That function is tail recursive, which in some languages will get optimized out so the stack won't overflow.

But in general, I was talking about the abstract math concept, not the implementation. We'll always be bounded by hardware, unfortunately.

And thanks.

Brooks comments on Beauty in Computer Science: Recursion

My friend's take on sciences: http://www.flickr.com/photos/willdoesntexist/2650523871/

Brooks comments on Negative Space

Sweet idea and great post!

Laura comments on Negative Space

I think the idea of negative space is applicable to much more than most people realize or bother to consider. I couldn't agree more. I know that this is something I've been exploring in dancing lately as well (something to do with the fact that we all dance with each other, I suppose). Thank you, dear, for pulling just the right term from visual art and applying it to dance! I never would've used the word, but it's perfect. Lately, it's been leaders who take advantage of negative space who really stick out for me. I see some Blues dancers move so much and it always seemed off. Here I thought it had to do with my laziness. :)

As a writer, having the right word is very important to me. Thanks!

Elliot comments on Beauty in Computer Science: Recursion

"...the addition function can create more numbers than that."

Well, it depends on your system memory a bit... ; )

CS is quite beautiful, though.
